Guidelines

  1. Only currently enrolled regular students of any of the full-time programs of the University are eligible for this award.
  2. The student should apply for the award only after the article's publication in any of the scientific journals listed in one of the following types of indexes.
    • Web of Science Core Collection including Science Citation Index Expanded (SCI-Expanded), Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI), and Arts and Humanities Citation Index (AHCI) or emerging sources citation index.
    • Medline (PubMed)
    • Scopus
  3. The articles included in this award are not eligible for any other award in the university.
  4. The Researcher must put AlMaarefa as his/her affiliation.
  5. AlMaarefa University should be included as the first affiliation of the article.
  6. The publication must not be published in hijacked or restricted journals.
  7. Only one of the following authors will be eligible to apply for this award.
    • First author.
    • Corresponding author.
    • First author among the number of authors with AlMaarefa University affiliation.
  8. This award aims to support students in covering the cost of the publications. Therefore, the applicant should submit proof of payment in terms of invoice and/or payment receipt. The receipt should be executed in the applicant’s name with AlMaarefa University affiliation.

Procedure:

The applicant should fill up the details in the online application form at the research portal.

Upload the following documents:

  • Published article.
  • Proof of indexing of journal in Web of Science/PubMed/Scopus.
  • Proof of payment of APC (invoice/payment receipt).
  • The IBAN of the applicant.
